MINUTES – TOWN OF BRILLION
July 10, 2018
Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm. Wayne Maile, Kevin Fischer (arrived at 7:35 pm), Levi Gibler, Sharon Ott, Karen Jannette and Darryl Parkin attending.
Guests: Carl Weber, Cheri and Vince Hieptas, Bob Stanelle, Paul Bohman, Ross Bongert, Chelsea Bongert, Debby Blankenship, Renee Kucharski, Dan Kucharski, Barbara Mueske, Adam Stenz, Sara Stenz.

MSC by Gibler/Maile to approve June meeting minutes.
Fire Chief Weber has 4 new members that will be joining the fire department. Clerk will put on August agenda for approval.
On July 28th the 2018 American Tribute Ride will take place starting at the FJ Fire Department, with the opening ceremony starting at 11:00 am.
MSC by Gibler/Maile to approve Treasurer’s Report.
Jeff Hebl, candidate for Calumet County Sheriff, gave those attending a little bit of background about himself and why he is running for sheriff. Mr. Hebl answered many questions from the board and those attending. The board thanked him for attending the meeting.
Several residents in attendance were there because of a request from a contractor to develop the strip of land along Highway 10 off the end of Wildflower Lane. Chairman Maile discussed this over with Calumet County Zoning Department to let them know that the board has not received any information regarding the contractor’s plans. The contractor would be required to attend a board meeting to discuss and present detailed plans. Until then the board has considered the topic tabled. All neighbors from the subdivision that attended the board meeting were not in favor of building anything on the strip of land located along Highway 10 off Wildflower Lane.
MSC by Fischer/Gibler to approve recycling pickup increase from once per month to twice per month. Beginning January 2019 recycling will be picked up twice per month along with the trash pick-up. Clerk will put in newsletter and on website. Also do mailing/audit on trash and recycling carts.
Clerk’s Report – August Board Meeting will be moved from August 14th to August 16th at 7:00 because there is an election on August 14th.
Discussion held on email received from resident on Man-Cal Road regarding concerns on shouldering and center striping/No Passing Signs on the road. The road is shared with the Town of Holland. The shouldering should be completed. To put up No Passing signs the road needs to be center striped. The Town of Brillion does not center stripe any roads. Supervisor Fischer will call Chairman Jerry Wall from the Town of Holland.
Chair’s Report – NA
Road Supervisor’s Report – New Ford pickup truck is being delivered in September, flatbed will arrive in August. The 2006 Ford pickup will remain at the shop.
Supervisor Fischer asked Darryl and Carl to get a list of equipment together along with the value of each item.
